Singing in the Summer 2011 Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Singing the Summer held?

Singing in the Summer is held on the campus of St. Louis Church – Church – 12500 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, Maryland 21029 utilizing both the Parish Social Hall and the Church.

What experience do I need?

No previous choral singing experience is necessary, though students with extensive previous experience may be selected for chamber ensembles.

Who should sign up and sing?

All those who complete grades 8 – 12 during the 2010-2011 academic year should sign up and sing – from St. Louis Church, Howard County, and beyond.

How many singers will there be?

The number of singers will be capped at 40. Register today!

What are Interest Sessions?

Interest Sessions are a daily opportunity to explore new topics related to music and singing. Examples include Music Theory, Music History, Technology, Acoustics, and Composition. Don’t see your interest here? Suggest it here.

Will lunch be provided?

No. Everyone will eat together each day in the Parish Social Hall or outside, but lunch will not be provided. .

What do I need to bring?

Water bottle, Pencil, Black folder / binder .
